Terms of Use
Last updated: 30 July 2026
These are binding contractual terms between you and Face-Fit Limited. They apply to everyone who uses Housing-Jobs — candidates searching and applying for roles, and employers and recruiters advertising them. By using the site you agree to them.
1. Who we are
Housing-Jobs is a trading name of Face-Fit Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 05032436. Our registered office is c/o Price Bailey LLP, 24 Old Bond Street, London W1S 4AP. Our correspondence address is 27 Old Gloucester Street, London WC1N 3AX. Face-Fit Limited is registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office under number ZB127973. The board is run personally by Simon Wilkins.
General enquiries: hello@housing-jobs.com · Legal: legal@housing-jobs.com · Privacy: privacy@housing-jobs.com. We aim to respond within three working days.
2. Our status as an employment agency
Housing-Jobs provides work-finding services. We host advertisements, receive applications and forward candidate details and CVs to hirers, and we carry out retained and executive search. We therefore operate as an employment agency within the meaning of the Employment Agencies Act 1973 and the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003, and we conduct ourselves accordingly. Where an assignment involves supplying temporary workers under our supervision, we act as an employment business for that assignment.
We act on behalf of the hirer, not the candidate. We never charge a work-seeker a fee for finding or seeking to find work.
Before we introduce a candidate to a hirer we obtain from that hirer:
- their identity, the nature of their business, and written authority to recruit for the vacancy;
- the position on offer, the location, the type of work, whether it is permanent or temporary, the hours, the start date and the duration where applicable;
- the minimum experience, training, qualifications or authorisations the role or the law requires;
- the remuneration, benefits, and any expenses payable or reimbursed;
- any risks to health and safety known to the hirer and the steps taken to prevent or control them.
Every advertisement identifies Housing-Jobs as the agency, states whether the work is permanent or temporary, and states the rate of pay or salary information. We keep records of vacancies, hirers, candidates and introductions as the Regulations require.
3. Candidates
- You must be at least 16 years old and you are responsible for the accuracy of your profile, CV and applications.
- When you apply, your name, contact details, application details and CV are sent to the advertising hirer and stored so you and the hirer can track the application.
- Uploaded CVs must be PDF, DOC or DOCX and are automatically screened. We may reject files containing images, offensive language or suspected malicious content.
- We do not guarantee that a hirer will respond, shortlist or interview you. Where you have had no response after five days you can flag this from your dashboard and we will chase the advertiser.
- Our service is free to candidates and we will never ask you to pay for work-finding services.
- You can withdraw consent, delete your CV versions and close your account at any time. See section 4 for what we must keep afterwards.
4. Closing your account and our record-keeping duties
When you close your account we remove your profile, CV files and account from the live service. We are nonetheless required to retain a limited record of work-finding services provided — including vacancy details, the hirer, the introduction and the date — for at least 12 months from the later of the date the record was created and the date we last provided a work-finding service to you. We also retain records we need to handle a complaint, defend a legal claim, or meet tax, accounting or safeguarding obligations. These retained records are locked down, used only for those purposes, and deleted at the end of the applicable period. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- post false, misleading, discriminatory or unlawful content;
- upload material that infringes another person's rights or contains malicious code;
- scrape, harvest or bulk-extract job listings, candidate data or employer data;
- use the site to send unsolicited marketing, spam or chain communications;
- share your login details, or attempt to access another user's account or data;
- impersonate any person or organisation, or misrepresent your authority to advertise a role.
We may suspend or remove any account or advertisement that breaches these terms.
6. Content moderation, illegal content and reporting
Housing-Jobs allows candidates to upload CVs and applications that advertisers can see through their dashboards, so parts of the service carry user-generated content. We have assessed the service under the Online Safety Act 2023 and we operate proportionate measures for the risks it presents: adverts and uploads are screened, CV uploads are restricted to PDF, DOC and DOCX and scanned for images and abusive content, and content is only ever visible to the specific hirer a candidate chose to apply to — the service has no public posting, messaging or search of user content.
Because we permit 16- and 17-year-olds to register, we also assess whether children are likely to access the service and keep age-appropriate protections under review. We keep our illegal-content risk assessment and our children's access assessment under review and update them when the service changes.
Reporting and complaints. Anyone — user or not — can report content they believe is illegal, fraudulent, discriminatory or otherwise in breach of these terms by emailing legal@housing-jobs.com with the page or advert reference and what is wrong. We acknowledge reports within two working days, remove illegal content swiftly once we are aware of it, and tell you the outcome. If you believe we have removed your content wrongly, reply to that decision and a person who was not involved in the original decision will review it.
7. Hirers and advertisers
- You confirm you are acting for purposes relating to your trade, business, craft or profession, that you are authorised to advertise each role, that the role is genuine and currently available, and that the advertisement complies with UK employment, equality and advertising law.
- You will give us the information listed in section 2 before we introduce any candidate, and you will tell us promptly if it changes or the vacancy is filled or withdrawn.
- Advertisements must not require payment from candidates, must not discriminate on any protected characteristic, must state whether the role is permanent or temporary, and must state salary information honestly.
- You are an independent data controller for candidate data you receive through the site. You must handle CVs and applicant data lawfully, keep them secure, and use them only for the role advertised unless the candidate agrees otherwise. Where we process candidate data on your instructions through dashboard features, we do so as your processor under the data-processing terms in our Privacy Policy.
- We may edit obvious errors, reformat adverts for consistency, or decline and remove an advert that does not meet our standards or the Regulations.
- Any logo or brand asset you upload must be yours to use, and you grant us a licence to display it alongside your adverts and employer profile for as long as they are live.
8. Pricing, payment and cancellation (business customers only)
- Advertising and search services are sold to businesses only. By purchasing you confirm you are buying wholly or mainly for business purposes. We do not sell advertising to consumers, and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 — including the 14-day cancellation right — do not apply to business purchases.
- Prices are shown on our pricing page and are exclusive of VAT unless stated. Advertising credits, featured placements, multi-location bundles and rolling bundles are billed in advance by card or, where agreed, by monthly invoice on 30-day terms.
- Adverts run for the period stated at purchase. You may cancel an advert at any time; fees for a live advert are non-refundable once it has been published at your request, and we will refund in full any advert not yet published.
- Unused credits within a rolling bundle expire at the end of the contracted term unless we agree otherwise in writing.
- Late invoice payment may result in adverts being paused and interest applied at the statutory rate.
9. Headhunting and search assignments
Retained and exclusive headhunting, covert search and executive search assignments are provided under separate written terms of business, which take precedence over these terms for that work and which reflect our status as an employment agency. See our headhunting page for an outline of the process.
10. Content and intellectual property
The site, its design, the Housing-Jobs name and branding, and our editorial content (including our job searching advice) are owned by or licensed to Face-Fit Limited. "Housing-Jobs" is a trading name of Face-Fit Limited and is not a separate legal person. You may view and print pages for your own use but may not republish or resell them.
Advertisements, logos, CVs and other material supplied by users remain the property of the person or organisation that owns them. Nothing on this site transfers ownership of that material to Face-Fit Limited; users grant us only the non-exclusive licence needed to host, format and display it on the site and in related notifications.
11. Availability and liability
We aim to keep the site available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may change or withdraw features. We do not verify every applicant, and we are not responsible for hiring decisions, recruitment outcomes, or the conduct of any user.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of the statutory terms implied into contracts for services, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
Candidates. Because our service is free to you, no financial cap applies to you. We remain responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract or failing to use reasonable care and skill — including mishandling your personal data or CV. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of a hirer you apply to, or for unforeseeable loss. Nothing here affects your statutory rights or your rights under data protection law.
Business customers. Subject to the paragraphs above, we are not liable to a hirer or advertiser for loss of profits, loss of business, loss of opportunity, or indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Minor changes — such as clarifications or contact details — take effect when published, and the date at the top shows the latest version. For any material change we will give at least 30 days' notice by email to registered users before it takes effect, and you may close your account or cancel an unpublished order without penalty during that period.
The terms in force when you purchased an advert, bundle or assignment continue to govern that purchase for its duration; a change does not apply retrospectively to services you have already paid for.
13. Complaints and governing law
If you are unhappy with anything we have done, email legal@housing-jobs.com. We acknowledge complaints within two working days and aim to resolve them within 14 days.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
